Shale Shakers is the first-stage drilling mud solids control equipment in the drilling fluid solids control system. It can separate a large amount of cuttings carried by drilling mud from wellhead. Then drilling mud will enter later equipment at downstream. Vibrating motor is the power source of shale shakers, being strong in vibration strength, high in reliability and easy in maintenance. Eccentric cams installed on the rotor shaft produce the motor’s vibratory action.
In terms of transportation and storage, the vibrating motor is packaged with plastic cloth and wooden case. It is recommended not to unpack the packaging materials during storage and transport,keeping the storage environment dry and ventilative, relative humidity not above 50% and to avoid a sharp change in ambient temperature. Do not place vibrating motors upside down during storage and transportation.
There are several methods for overhauling explosion-proof vibrating motor of shale shakers.
1. When assembling the explosion-proof motor of shale shaker and dipping paint, the operator shall get rid of the dust, insulating paint and other dirty materials. In order not to damage the explosion-proof surface of this motor on shale shaker, oilstone can be used to grind the uneven places. Sheet iron and other rigid objects shall not be used.
2. In order to protect the explosion-proof surface of this motor on shale shaker, use tin-zinc solder containing 58-60% tin, with soldering flux composing of 30% ammonium chloride and 70% zinc chloride, add water to 100-150% mixed solution (applicable to iron casting). Or use 30% hydrochloric acid soldering flux and tin-zinc solder HISnPb58-2 (applicable to steel work) for soldering. The parts and solder shall be welded tightly, with raised places rubbed down to reach certain finish.
3. In order to prevent rusting of the explosion-proof surface of this motor on shale shaker, it’s necessary to apply 204-1 replacement type anti-rust oil or engine oil on the explosion-proof surface.
4. Under normal circumstances, the explosion-proof motor on shale shaker is not permitted to be disassembled randomly. If necessary for overhaul, do not knock and impact the explosion-proof surface of this motor, and do not use the explosion-proof surface of parts as supporting point for crowbar. When disassembling the motor on shale shaker, remove the fan and its cover first, and then disassemble with spanner and casing pipe.
