The decanter centrifuge is mainly used to control the density and viscosity of drilling fluid, decrease the content of the solid phase, remove the hazardous solid phase, recycle the heavy spar, regain the left of whirling current separator to guarantee the good performance of drilling fluid and increase the speed of drilling.

Working Principle of Decanter Centrifuge

Decanter centrifuge is a important equipment in solids control system. It is widely used in drilling waste management system and oilfield mud circulation system. Decanting centrifuge separate the suspending fluids using the principle of centrifugal action, the suspending fluids is pushed into the rotor drum through the inlet pipe and the fluid hole of the spiral feeder. Under the influence of centrifugal force, solid phase particles are pushed to the internal wall of the drum, then to the mud export of the small end of the drum and excreted. But the fluids is excreted from the overflow hole of the large end. Such cycle is in order to achieve the purpose of continuous separation.High speed decanting centrifuge is effective for separation

Operation of Decanter Centrifuge

1.Centrifuges to be installed on top of the new entrance to the tank away from the drilling pump, can also be arranged according to the actual situation.

2.Frequently check the fasteners are tightened, and lubrication of lubricating parts.

3.The top-long centrifuge should be cleaned rollers and conveyor to have a confirmation no jamming before boot.

4. Machine operation should idling for 10-15 minutes, confirm centrifuge normal operation, then open the pump for a small to large amount of slurry, adjusted to a suitable date.
 

5.if the drilling fluid viscosity is too high, should be appropriately adding dilution water, to reduce viscosity, to accelerate the solid phase precipitation speed, improve the processing capability of the centrifuge.

6. All safety protection guards shall be installed before starting up. It is forbidden to open the guards of decanter centrifuge to observe the running state of the machines.

7. During the operation of the decanter centrifuge, don’t touch the moving parts and rotation parts.

8. It is forbidden to brake in any way before the decanter centrifuge is stopped.

9. If there is abnormal noise and vibration, close down decanter centrifuge immediately and make troubleshooting.

10. It is forbidden to have the decanter centrifuge running at the rotating speed out of active speed that indicated in the instruction and nameplate.
